The Ides of March

A soothsayer (fortune teller) warned Romans of this date and its significance. They thought he was just crazy and walked off. Hours later, their very empire would change forever. He predicted the mighty Julius Caesar would be murdered on March 15th of 44 BC, and that his own people would betray him in the matter, even his best friend Brutus (or Bruté in some languages). Sure enough, Caesar was stabbed multiple times in one of the oldest assassinations in world history.
