The first short story I plan to publish here is an installment of my Johnny Nash private investigator series entitled Case of the Brooklyn Bandits. Set in present day NYC, Nash, fond of westerns, gets excited when he hears about a local group dressing themselves as an old west posse, executing professional-style robberies, most of the time brandishing revolvers identical to those used in that time period. At first, the NYPD have a good hold on things, until they attack various precincts, leaving many officers injured, but none fatal. His connection to the NYPD, Capt. Elijah Browne, decides to take a chance, and hire Nash for the case. Problem is, the group of three have a fourth unidentified member who is actually calling the shots, and word from reliable intel suggests he is planning something even bigger, something that has the potential to rock all of the east coast.
